Product Development Specialist
Summary of Job Description
The Product Development Specialist will be responsible for quality assurance, customer communication, support and training of our web-based product, CommunityOS. This position involves collaboration with our development and account management staff using Agile/Scrum to document, release and support our software. Other responsibilities include basic project specification and management of custom work projects along with internal staff product support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and publish test plans, procedures and final test reports
- Validate/resolve reported support issues
- Train and certify customers on CommunityOS
- Develop and execute test plans for our core product line and custom work projects
- Ensure each requirement has a test case and a confirmed result
- Report, review, and close reported problems
- Write custom work specifications for change requests
- Project management for customer change requests
- Interface with Development and Account Managers regarding status of issues/releases
- Produce technical documentation and release notes
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. and 2 years of software-related professional experience
- At least two years of software quality assurance testing. Web application testing experience preferred.
- Experience testing with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
- Experience testing in Internet Explorer and FireFox
- Excellent test case/plan development
- Experience running full regression tests
- Ability to multi-task and switch priorities as needed
- Commitment to reach deadlines
- Creative problem solving and logical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teaching ability and a minimum of one year of training experience
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- Outstanding attention to detail
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience with automated and manual testing
- Experience creating technical documentation
- Experience communicating with technically skilled and unskilled clients
