Homeless Management

Successful communities need to be able to support those individuals and families who are suddenly or chronically homeless. To do so requires collaboration between agencies and coordination among a wide range of service providers and shelters. If federal funds are put to use, an entire set of data fields and reporting requirements must be met.

To meet these challenges, Tapestry includes a comprehensive case management module built around 16 well-organized tabs and HUD HMIS compliant data fields. The tabs meet all of the HMIS requirements and then some. For example, required data points for domestic violence are included, of course. Beyond the required fields, an entire tab has been built around this issue, including information about perpetrators and current incidents, all designed by those working in the DV field.

Income information is included as required, yet so too is an optional expense tab designed to help you build monthly budgets with your clients. The household tab provides not only the means to cluster individuals in households--it also offers the ability to enroll and exit some or all members of a household in programs and services as a group, saving considerable time and effort.

The system is explicitly designed to support agencies that provide referral services, agencies that enroll clients in their own programs and services, and organizations which do both. Special workflow options let you customize the system to best meet your needs.

Importantly, every transaction is recorded, meaning that you can look back at any historical point in time. Further, records can be saved as contact histories, or updated or corrected in maintenance mode.

Reporting provides not only HMIS required Annual Progress Reports (APRs), but a full export module that allows you to pull data from any field on every tab.
