VisionLink and TechCode Partner Together to Heighten Security

October 27, 2006

VisionLink Inc., headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, provides organizations with the means to store and transfer information to and from people and service providers. Nonprofit organizations such as the Federal Emergency Management Agent (FEMA) and the American Red Cross are using a Web-accessible database software program, which stores the information of each person requesting help on a secured server.

The American Red Cross and FEMA are working together to create a nationwide database of disaster shelters. Using the Tapestry software, each organization is able to know where the shelter facilities are located, capacity population and points of contact.

Tapestry gives people and organizations the opportunity to find the services and information they are looking for. "It can be difficult for people in a community to find the right services when they need them," said Douglas Zimmerman, president and chief executive officer of VisionLink Inc. "Using our Tapestry software people can go to a web site and look for what they need - such as Meals on Wheels for elderly parents or shelter for the night - and contact them. We provide information and referral tools for call centers."

TechCode specializes in products such as ID cards and scanners, Radio Frequency ID Systems, label printers, labels, and ribbons. This technology is being used in the health care, property management, manufacturing, casino/gambling, correctional facilities, U.S. Navy and other industries to help track employees, inventory, casino boxes, and U.S. Navy base inventory.

VisionLink and TechCode have recently partnered together to provide clients with an ID card and scanner service. This new feature heightens security measures for each individual VisionLink client. With over 2 million users in VisionLink's client database privacy is a vital service that VisionLink must provide.
