Boulder, Colorado -- April 10, 2008 Representatives from over 135 national and regional organizations active in voluntary disaster response will attend the 2008 Annual VOAD Conference on May 5-8 in Little Rock, Arkansas. VisionLink endorses the direction of National VOAD and is a key sponsor for this year's conference.
"As the sophistication of the local and state VOADs increase, and as their national leadership take on increasingly comprehensive planning, we are pleased to support so many efforts to plan for, mitigate, and respond to disasters. Done well, communities are not only better able to respond, but through their participation in the NVOAD, they forge multi-agency partnerships which in turn build stronger communities," said Dr. W. Douglas Zimmerman President and CEO of VisionLink. Attendees will share ideas, concerns and trends in voluntary disaster response through numerous seminars, workshops and breakout sessions.
