We are often asked how many users we can support, or how many records can be stored.
You will be pleased to know we can support an unlimited number of records for clients, opportunities, resources and other data elements. Some of our communities have a few thousand, to many hundreds of thousands, to a million or more records in active use. Let us know your needs.
Similarly there is no real limit to the number of users which can access VisionLink technology. Our systems are hardware scaleable and the cost per user is extremely low. So it's not just that we can support your need--it's that our pricing model actually encourages expansion because we do not price by the seat or the user. We want your partnership to expand and to be successful.
Record counts however, are only some of the questions you may want to ask. You should also check on the speed of any system you are considering--and not just a demo system. Searching millions of records is not very useful if it takes 4 or 5 seconds. With VisionLink systems, 98%+ of all requests are returned in one second or less. VisionLink also makes sure that we can support all of our local, state and national systems at high demand simultaneously--we do not play shell games with capacity.
Most importantly, our systems are hardware scaleable, meaning that we can rapidly expand our capacity by simply adding additional hardware--we do not need to make software modifications, nor purchase additional licenses to increase our capacity. Each rack of servers has been explicitly designed to allow for the easy and rapid installation of additional equipment, and power and cooling systems are already in place, in preparation for such contingencies.
For end users, on the other hand, very little capacity in bandwidth or computer power is required. We design to support broadband, wireless and even dial-up access. Because we design for such efficient use of bandwidth we will not absorb your organization's internal network capacity. And computers? Even older models will work well with any standard web browser. No proprietary settings are required.
